Angel Reese Makes WNBA History Against Seattle Storm

Chicago Sky rookie Angel Reese has officially cemented herself in the WNBA record books.

During the third quarter of Sunday's game against the Seattle Storm, Angel Reese secured the 13th consecutive double-double of her WNBA career.

This sets the WNBA record for the most consecutive double-doubles by any player.

What's even more fascinating is that Reese surpassed basketball legend Candace Parker for the record.

Parker spent the 2021 and 2022 WNBA seasons with the Chicago Sky, and even won a WNBA Championship with the franchise in 2021.

But now Reese has managed to create her own legacy just 20 games into her WNBA career.

With Reese securing this record, the question now becomes how this history-making performance will effect the 2024 WNBA Rookie of the Year Award race.

Fever rookie sensation Caitlin Clark made her own WNBA history on Saturday, as she became the first rookie in league history to produce a triple-double.

Luckily there's still about half of the WNBA season left. Which means either of these two rookies have more than enough time to separate themselves from the other before the ROTY votes must be tallied.
