    This weekend, taste good barbecue at Chicago's country music festival, jam to house music with the Chosen Few DJs or enjoy folk tunes and craft beer in Logan Square.


    1. 🎸 Windy City Smokeout

    Grab your cowboy boots: The Windy City Smokeout is here.

    Why it matters: This four-day affair is Chicago's country music festival.

    The intrigue: The star-studded lineup of performers includes Thomas Rhett, Parker McCollum, DJ Pauly D, Cody Johnson and Carrie Underwood.

    Zoom in: Pitmasters and breweries from around the country will be present.

    • Local selections include Bub City, Green Street Smoked Meats, Lexington Betty Smokehouse, Goose Island and Spiteful.

    When: Thursday until 10pm, 2–10pm Friday, 1–10pm Saturday and Sunday

    Location: United Center parking lot C

    2. 🎧 Chosen Few DJs Picnic + Festival

    • It's all about house music, with festivities starting Thursday and running until Sunday. The annual picnic starts at 8am Saturday at Jackson Park. Tickets start at $80

    3. 🎸 Square Roots Festival

    • If you like live music and craft beer, stop by Lincoln Square Friday until Sunday for this family-friendly festival. Donations are suggested.

    • This two-day family food and music fest at The Salt Shed features Chrissy Teigen, Common, and Chicago's very own Chance the Rapper. Tickets start at $36

    7. 🎢 Miche Fest

    • The Latino festival previously hosted at Harrison Park returns to Oakwood Beach for its sixth year. The outdoor music event will take place 1–10pm Saturday and Sunday. Tickets start at $169
