    Monday concert at Wrigley Field begins early due to severe weather threats

    CHICAGO — A concert set to take place at Wrigley Field on Monday night has been pushed up an hour as severe weather threats move into Chicagoland.

    Def Leppard, Journey, and the Steve Miller Band were set to take the stage in Chicago at 5:30 p.m., but due to a round of storms that is bringing the threat of severe weather to Chicagoland, the show will now kick off at 4:30 p.m., according to the Chicago OEMC .

    According to the OEMC, the Steve Miller Band will play a 30-minute set starting at 4:30 p.m. Journey will take the stage at 5:30 p.m., and Def Leppard will begin their set at 7:15 p.m.

    Deen Castronovo, the drummer for the band Journey, also shared a post on X , just before 3 p.m. on Monday with details on the amended schedule.

    Monday’s round of storms is expected to sweep through Chicagoland , from the northwest to the southeast, between 6 p.m. and 1 a.m.

    Monday afternoon: Prepare for more storms

    Areas in the path of these storms could potentially see destructive winds, 1 to 2 inches of rain and even possible tornadoes.

    The round of storms comes only a day after parts of Chicagoland were pelted with destructive winds and strong rains.

    The NWS has also confirmed that three EF-0 tornadoes swept through Chicagoland on Sunday.
