The Chicago Bears have finally signed one of their first-round draftees after a long contract negotiation period.

Wide receiver Rome Odunze, formerly of the Washington Huskies and drafted ninth overall by Chicago, has officially signed a four-year, $22.7 million deal with the Bears and a fifth-year option, according to a report from Tom Pelissero of NFL Network .

This puts Odunze into a room with some of the best receivers in the National Football League, including DJ Moore, Keenan Allen, Cole Kmet, D'Andre Swift, and Gerald Everett.

During his time in Washington, Odunze caught 22 touchdowns and recorded 188 receptions for 3,060 yards. In his senior year, he led the NCAA in receiving yards (1,640) and the Pac-12 in receptions (81).

Now, Bears fans around the world are only waiting for the team to officially sign rookie quarterback Caleb Williams, who the team drafted first overall. According to him, he's not too worried.

"I'm not handling that," Williams said to the Chicago Tribune . "My lawyers and attorney and everybody, the head of the Bears, everybody up there up top is handling that. That's not my position that I'm handling."

ESPN NFL insider Dan Graziano echoed this sentiment. "No concern, no drama, making progress. He doesn’t have an agent, I think that probably slows things down a little bit. But the Bears believe that they'll get this done, and there won't be any disruption."
