The Chicago Sky recently picked up a 93-85 victory against the Las Vegas Aces to cap off the first half of the WNBA season. Following the big-time win, rookie Angel Reese sent a public message to Sky teammate Chennedy Carter.

Carter posted on X, saying, "Good morning chenfolks," and Reese quote-tweeted it with a subtle jab at the Sky guard. "[I've] been calling your phone," Reese said.

WNBA fans reacted to the unexpected "dispute," dropping a few hilarious reactions in Reese's comments.

"Answer the phone chenn," said one fan with a crying emoji.

"Chennedy Carter answer the phone Angel [is] calling you," said another fan.

"Clock her! [She's] gonna say let’s chat and not even respond," commented another.

The two have been known to share a tight bond. They've had each other's back throughout the season, most notably in the events of Carter's All-Star game snub and the controversy both players had with the Indiana Fever and Caitlin Clark.

Carter currently leads Sky in scoring with an average of 16.4 points per game, while Reese has been a monster on various levels of the stat sheet.

She's the No. 2 scorer in Chicago, with an average of 13.5 points per game and she leads the team with 12.0 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game.

Both stars helped the Sky earn the No. 8 slot in the WNBA rankings, currently sitting at last place in the playoff standings. They'll head into the All-Star break with a 10-14 record.

Reese's playful jab at Carter shows the incredible chemistry in Chicago, which could only improve before the next game.

They'll have ample time before their next matchup, currently scheduled for Aug. 15 against the Phoenix Mercury at 8 p.m. ET.
