Angel Reese Made Her Opinion of Diana Taurasi Extremely Clear

At the midway point of the 2024 WNBA season, Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky have yet to face off against Diana Taurasi and the Phoenix Mercury.

But with All-Star practice in Phoenix on Friday, Reese finally got the chance to meet with one of her "GOATs" of the game.

Reese described what Taurasi has meant to her basketball career and what aspects of her game she hopes to emulate.

“Being able to see DT, I watched her for a really, really long time. She’s one of the GOATs of the game," Reese said during her media availability on Friday. "Being able to take some great things from her: her mentality. Her ability to be a vet — being able to keep [her] body up for this long — I obviously admire that. Hopefully I can play that long too.

"I'm excited to pick her brain. I met her out there earlier today."

Reese is off to an outstanding start to her WNBA career. The Chicago rookie shattered the all-time record for consecutive double-doubles, averaging 13.5 points and 11.9 rebounds per game through the first half of her debut season.

Reese and the 2024 WNBA All-Star Team will face off against Taurasi and Team USA on Saturday night.

After the All-Star/Olympic break, Reese and the Sky will matchup against Taurasi and the Mercury in games on August 15 and 18.
