    1 dead, 3 others hurt on SW Side after car slams into CTA bus: CPD

    CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - An 18-year-old driver is dead, and three others were injured after a car crashed into a CTA bus.

    Chicago Police said the accident occurred around 4 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of 26th and Pulaski, in the Little Village neighborhood. A white Infinity sedan, driven by the 18-year-old man, was heading west on 26th Street when it ran a red light and collided with a northbound CTA bus.

    The bus, police said, then skidded and hit a nearby building.

    The driver of the Infinity suffered serious injuries, police said. He was transported to Mount Sinai Hospital where he later died.

    His passenger, a 21-year-old woman, was also transported to Mount Sinai. She was listed in good condition.

    Two people who were on board the bus were hurt, police said. One, a 38-year-old woman was sent to Mount Sinai. She was described to be in good condition. The other victim, a 52-year-old woman, was transported to Saint Anthony Hospital also in good condition.

    Police did not provide any other information.
