LAKE FOREST, Ill. — Rome Odunze did not take part in the first day of Chicago Bears training camp Saturday.

According to a team spokesperson, Odunze was excused from practice for personal reasons and is expected to be back Sunday.

Odunze and fellow first year quarterback Caleb Williams both came to terms on their rookie deals with the Bears earlier this week, setting the stage for a much anticipated training camp to get underway for Chicago’s two top draft picks.

The former Washington Huskies wide receiver last missed time with the team during offseason minicamp, when he was held out of team practices with what was described as hamstring soreness.
