After President Joe Biden dropped out of the race Sunday, Illinois’ Democratic National Convention delegates will choose who to vote for at the DNC Aug. 19 to Aug. 22 in Chicago or at an earlier remote roll call vote.
Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker has endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris for U.S. president, as have several other governors, but the nomination has not yet been officially secured.
Illinois has 147 pledged delegates and 30 unpledged superdelegates this year in the Democratic Party. Here’s what to know about the Land of Lincoln’s delegates.
