The Oscar Mayer Wienermobile was involved in a rollover crash on a busy Tri-State Tollway in Illinois Monday (July 22) morning, the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

The crash, which involved the enormous hot-dog-shaped vehicle and a Hyundai, took place on Interstate 294 at around 11:15 a.m., according to the Illinois State Police Department. The vehicles were both traveling northbound when the Wienermobile struck the car, lost control and rolled over, however, no injuries were reported, troopers confirmed to the newspaper.

The right lane of I-294 was shut down for more than an hour after the accident took place. Several photos and videos shared online showed the Wienermobile rolled over on the highway.

“We’re grateful that everybody involved is safe and there were no injuries,” a spokesperson for Oscar Mayer said in a statement obtained by the Chicago Sun-Times . “We’re offering ongoing support for our Hotdoggers (employees who drive the vehicle) and we appreciate the support we’ve received from local authorities. Safety on the road is top priority for us.”

No additional details were made available at the time of publication.

The Oscar Mayer Wienermobiles are used to promote and advertise the Chicago based meat and cold cut producer's products across the United States. The company's first Wienermobile was created by Carl G. Mayer , the nephew of founder Oscar F. Mayer , in 1936.
