Saxophonist Surprises Michael Jordan With Bulls Intro Song While Dining In Saint-Tropez

Michael Jordan got quite a pleasant surprise when he was dining at Bagatelle in Saint-Tropez, France earlier this month. As Jordan and some associates were having lunch at the establishment, a saxophonist, who goes by the username "dimasaxo" on Instagram, walked over and played "Sirius" by "The Alan Parsons Project," the Chicago Bulls' iconic intro song in front of them.

The saxophonist also shared a POV video of him playing the song in front of Jordan, who shook hands with him afterward.

Some might have been surprised by just how cordial Jordan was with the musician, but that's because this wasn't their first meeting. He had performed in front of the Bulls icon last year as well.

He had seemingly told Jordan that wasn't the last dance and it was not. It certainly would have been quite a special feeling for this musician to be acknowledged in this manner by the sporting icon.

While this wasn't the first meeting between these two, this also wasn't the first time that this music was played at a restaurant that Jordan was at. It happened last year too, with Jordan getting excited when he heard the Bulls' intro music. I am pretty sure the 61-year-old gets quite nostalgic whenever he hears it, as it reminds him of all the times he stepped out on the court to dominate for the Bulls.

I wouldn't play this song in front of the likes of Isiah Thomas, Karl Malone, John Stockton, Patrick Ewing, and Charles Barkley , though. It might stir up some very bad memories for all of them. Jordan had so many epic battles against them and so many other icons and came out of them with six titles, six Finals MVPs, five MVPs, and 10 scoring titles.

An Influencer Shared How Michael Jordan Throws Parties

You and I are unlikely to ever be invited to a party thrown by Jordan, but it turns out that you could make it in if you get a bit lucky. Influencer Ashley Nevel disclosed how Jordan throws parties.

“What’s crazy about Michael Jordan parties is - you’ll get a text, about 30 minutes before you’re supposed to arrive. He doesn’t want anyone knowing where it is. So he only provides the location to people that are on the list. If you just happen to be with someone that’s on the list, you can get into the party…"

"They were like ‘Ooh, we’re going to Michael Jordan’s party, come with us' - just being in the right place at the right time. It was in a random location, I can’t even tell you where it was. It was in the middle of nowhere."

"He just rented a big plot of land and had a huge tent, one of those white, enclosed tents. He had different stations of food, he had everything possible there, and you could just go to all these little stations and get free food. Free drinks, different bars everywhere, you have a concert, different people performing. The networking was awesome. Michael Jordan knows how to party.”

So, you just need to be at the right place at the right time. I am not surprised Jordan takes such measures to ensure that it doesn't get out where he's throwing a party. He doesn't really give the outside world a glimpse into his life and such instances with the saxophonist are one of the few times that we get to know his whereabouts.
