Chicago Sky rookie Angel Reese recently joined WNBA reporter Khristina Williams on the "In Case You Missed It With Khristina Williams Show." During her interview, the young star shared her honest opinion of Sky head coach Teresa Weatherspoon.

Reese has explained that she was blessed to land with the Sky at No. 7 in the 2024 WNBA draft, especially with a coach who understands her on and off the hardwood.

“I tell her my personal business that’s going on," Reese said. "Anything going on, on social media on and off the court. I luckily got blessed to have somebody that really understands me on and off the court."

Weatherspoon is working through her first year as Chicago's head coach, so the two have been able to ride through the journey of the 2024 season side-by-side for the first time.

Reese has been a star under Weatherspoon's leadership. She's established herself as one of the best rebounders in the league. The 6-foot-3 forward is currently ranked as the second leading rebounder, behind MVP front-runner A'ja Wilson.

Wilson has posted an average of 12.0 boards, while Reese trails her at 11.9 rebounds per game. She's also shown a quality offensive skill set, averaging 13.5 points per game.

The rookie recently played in her first WNBA All-Star game, helping Team WNBA defeat Team USA, 117-109. Reese posted 12 points and 11 rebounds, making a major impact on the team at 22 years old.

As Reese explained, she doesn't just work through the usual day-to-day tests as a WNBA player. The first-year is one of the most popular women's basketball players in the country, having secured over eight million followers combined on Instagram, TikTok, and X.

It seems Reese believes Weatherspoon is the perfect fit for the young athlete who boasts immense fanfare on and off the court.
