Chicago Sky rookie Angel Reese recently joined an interview with WNBA reporter Khristina Williams on her podcast, "In Case You Missed It." The first-year star was asked about her relationship with league veterans, and Reese shared her honest feelings on the treatment she receives.

"They text me, check on me, congratulate me," Reese said. "Hopefully, that’s it. ‘I wish I can play with you one day. I wish we drafted you.' They’ll even text me some of that stuff, too. It’s cool to be loved in the league."

The Sky star further commented that she didn't expect to receive so much love when she came into the league. "Because obviously, from the outside looking in, they might think that I didn’t want that or didn’t need that or whatever the perspective could have been on the outside,” she added.

Reese's answer helped resurface a previous quote from Indiana Fever rookie Caitlin Clark, given the major difference in responses.

“Nobody gives me advice in game. I wish,” Clark said in a June interview.

The former LSU Tiger has been seen interacting with league veterans like A'ja Wilson all season. She's shared a couple of postgame moments with WNBA stars like Breanna Stewart and Tina Charles, explaining that she's been welcomed with open arms.

While the former Iowa Hawkeye has spoken about a few healthy relationships with league veterans like Sabrina Ionescu and Kelsey Plum, she was quick to say that she doesn't get much advice from them.

Aside from the contrast, it seemed that both rookies were beloved at the WNBA All-Star game . Reese finished with 12 points and 11 rebounds, while Clark contributed four points and 10 assists to Team WNBA's 117-109 victory over Team USA.

They may not be the two best players on the hardwood just yet, but they're surely the most famous athletes in the league.
