    Search underway for 4 involved in armed robbery at CTA Red Line stop on Far North Side

    CHICAGO — Police are asking for help in the search for a group of people responsible for an armed robbery at a Red Line stop on the city’s Far North Side last week.

    Chicago police say the robbery unfolded on Friday, July 19, at the Red Line Morse stop in the 1300 block of West Morse Avenue in Rogers Park.

    According to police, four people approached the victim just before 12:30 a.m. and sprayed them with a chemical irritant before beating them and taking their property by force.

    On Friday, Chicago police shared photos captured by CTA surveillance cameras of the individuals who are believed to have been responsible.

    Police say they believe the members of the group were both men and women who are believed to be between 18 and 25 years of age.
