Coveted Cubs hurler does not have Dodgers on no-trade list

The Chicago Cubs have been buying and selling this year at the trade deadline. They've made moves with contending in 2025 in mind.

They've already acquired Issac Paredes from the Tampa Bay Rays in exchange for Christopher Morel and move moves could be on the way.

According to Jon Heyman of the New York Post , one of their potentially coveted pieces has a few teams on his no-trade clause, but the Los Angeles Dodgers are not one of them.

"Uncertain if Jameson Taillon is still out there in trade talks but in case: his 10-team no-trade list does not include Yankees, Mets, Dodgers, Padres (and 15 others)," Heyman tweeted.

A team like the Dodgers could certainly use some help in their starting rotation. They have already added a few pieces to address their offense such as Amed Rosario and Tommy Edman.

However, they have not done much to address their starting rotation. Taillon could fit exactly what they're looking for in order to bolster the staff. He's 7-6 with a 3.35 ERA in his 18 starts with the North Siders this year and has struck out 82 batters in 104.2 innings of work.

Los Angeles is currently without Walker Buehler and Yoshinobu Yamamoto, so an extra arm could certainly benefit them as they try to remain near the top of the National League and capture their 11th division title in the past 12 seasons.

If Taillon is available, the Dodgers should do their best to make a move for him, as he likely won't cost as much as somebody like Garrett Crochet or Tarik Skubal.
