According to NBC Chicago , Owens will stay in Paris until Aug. 3 to watch Biles compete in the all-around final scheduled for Aug. 1. During an interview with the outlet, Owens thanked the Bears for allowing him to take time off from training camp to support his wife. “First-class organization. I just want to thank them so much for even allowing me to go over and do that. I can’t wait to be able to support her, and I know my family and my wife, she really appreciates it.”

Matthew Eberflus, the Bears coach, praised Owens — who is on a two-year free agent contract with the team — for standing beside Biles during the biggest moment in her career. “We respect the Olympics. That is a big deal, and he’s just supporting the one he loves the most. I think that’s so cool that he gets to do that. We welcome that and it’s gonna be awesome. Go USA,” Eberflus added.
