Bears Star Reveals True Feelings On Jonathan Owens Taking Leave For Simone Biles

The Chicago Bears allowed Jonathan Owens to skip training camp so he can cheer for his wife, USA gymnast Simone Biles, in Paris at the 2024 Olympics. His teammate DJ Moore, however, can't wait to see him back.

To make things clear, Moore has no issue with Owens taking some time off to support his wife. The reason he's looking forward to seeing the veteran safety return is because he wants to hear the stories he will share from his Olympic experience.

Moore shared as much in a recent appearance on the Green Light Podcast With Chris Long by Yote House Media. The 27-year-old wideout added that the Bears are not "messing" with Owens because they know how important it is for him to be there for his partner.

"No, we haven't been messing with him. I know he was out there supporting his wife, which she did amazing and everybody was watching, so kudos to them," Moore said.

"I know he’ll be back ready to work, so can't wait for him to get back and tell the stories."

Jonathan Owens has been given time off from July 29 to August 3, so DJ Moore's wait for his teammate shouldn't be too long.

Owens will have plenty of stories to tell as well, especially after he witnessed Simone Biles bag two gold medals so far in the Olympics--one in the team event and one in the individual all-around.

Owens, however, will have to be ready for all the questions when he returns to the Bears' camp.
