Pop sensation Tate McRae took quite a tumble at this year's Lollapalooza festival during her energy-fueled set.

The star from Canada hit the stage with gusto in Chicago , flaunting a fiery red bra top edged with white detail, glitzy mini-shorts that shimmered under the bright lights , and sky-high grey boots with a slouchy look.

Completely immersed in her act , Tate walked confidently down the stage steps when disaster almost struck.

As she dazzled the crowd, the former So You Think You Can Dance challenger had a misstep that made it seem like she twisted her leg awkwardly as she fell, drawing a collective gasp from the audience - some spectators even thought she had "snapped her leg in half."

Nevertheless, Tate was swift to bounce back, brushing off the fall and carrying on with her performance like nothing happened. Footage of the mishap spread on social media platform X, sparking conversation among netizens.

"Did anyone else see Tate McRae fall on stage today or only me? She got up so quick tho that woman wasted NO TIME," one user questioned on X. "SHE STILL SLAYYED," chimed in another, unfazed by the slip-up.

Saturday evening underscored Tate's unwavering professionalism and her seasoned stage presence, proving that her years of experience in show business since childhood have crafted her into an entertainer ready for any challenge.

With a mother who was a dance teacher, it's no shock that she followed in her footsteps. Tate began her dance training at the tender age of six and attended The American International School Muscat in Oman, where she resided with her parents for a period.

In 2011, Tate launched her own YouTube Channel, primarily posting dance videos. At just 13 years old, she became the first Canadian finalist on the American reality show So You Think You Can Dance in 2016.

Some standout performances from her early dance career include starring in Walk Off The Earth's video for Rule the World, performing at a concert for Justin Bieber 's Purpose world tour and dancing in a troupe on the Ellen DeGeneres Show.

In 2017, Tate began sharing her songs on YouTube, and her first song, One Day, which she penned at 14, went viral and was released as a single that achieved gold certification in Canada. After consistently posting new singles as part of her Create With Tate series, she caught the eye of record labels, signing with RCA Records in 2019 when her debut EP All the Things I Never Said was released.
