CHICAGO (CBS) — A cold front stretches across the region, allowing for a storm threat through Tuesday morning. Storms this evening may turn severe with damaging winds and hail.

Overnight into Tuesday morning, more storms are expected, mainly north of I-80.

On Tuesday, temperatures will be much cooler behind the front north of I-80, with highs only in the mid-70s. Areas south of I-80 will remain hot and humid, with highs in the 80s to near 90.
