    Cubs Look to Carry Momentum into Series with Twins

    The Chicago Cubs are coming off an impressive series win over the St. Louis Cardinals over the weekend. The team sits 8.5 games outside of the final wildcard spot and will continue to gain ground with a three game series against the Minnesota Twins.

    Monday, August 5th: Kyle Hendricks vs. David Festa

    The Cubs will go with Kyle Hendricks (3-9, 6.86 ERA) on the mound on Monday. He is coming off a win against the Cincinnati Reds in his last start. Hendricks allowed three runs on four hits across five innings of work. He recorded four strikeouts and walked two.

    The Twins will go with David Festa (1-2, 6.98 ERA) for the series opener against the Cubs. Festa will be making his fourth start of the season and only his fifth appearance since making his MLB Debut. In his last outing, he picked up the loss against the New York Mets after allowing two runs on three hits across five innings of work. He struck out six batters and walked only one.
