The most decorated gymnast of all time has gone viral for not only her impressive routines but also for a photo she previously posted with a basketball legend because of their jaw-dropping height difference.

The Instagram post that has gone viral is of Biles standing next to former NBA star Shaquille O’Neal. It was taken back in 2017, but since the Olympics started the pic has been circulating online again.

In the photo, Shaq is wearing a gray suit and Biles has on a white strappy shirt and a black skirt.

Some fans pointed out that Biles looks taller than she actually is in the snap because she has on heels as she poses with the 7-foot-1 O’Neal.

Biles and Owens’ height difference

Seeing Biles next to Shaq had many question how much shorter the Olympian is than her football player husband.

Biles and Owens, who began dating in 2020 before tying the knot in 2023, have been photographed countless times together. And while their height difference isn’t as much as O’Neal and Biles’, Owens is a lot taller than his bride.

Biles is 4 feet 8 inches, while Owens is 5 feet 11 inches.

Biles is considered one of the shorter women to compete in her sport as her U.S. teammate Suni Lee is 5 feet tall. Past Team USA gymnast Gabby Douglas is 5 feet 2 inches, and Shawn Johnson stands at 4 feet 11 inches. However, Biles isn’t the shortest. The shortest American gymnast is Kerri Strug who is 4 feet 7 inches tall.

Biles responded to those who have criticized her husband

Not only is Biles a great gymnast, but she is also a great wife as she defended her husband when some fans criticized him for what he wore during a celebration in Paris.

Owens posted a sweet message on Instagram to his partner while wearing one of the gold medals she won writing: “Witnessing history every time you step on the mat. Congrats baby on becoming the most decorated American gymnast in Olympic history!!!! Just wow!!!! 8 of them!!!!! So thankful I was there to see it.”

But some were not happy and demanded to know why he was wearing her medal.

In response to those who criticized the Chicago Bears player, Biles hit back writing: “Crazy thing is, I put my medal on every single one of my family members and took pictures. So don’t ever make assumptions. Like y’all are so f****** miserable. Leave us alone.”
