A 41-year-old man cut a 38-year-old man with a knife at Soldier Field a few hours after the Chicago Bears defeated the Carolina Panthers by 26 points on Sunday, police said.

The men involved in the attack both worked for a company that provides food and beverage services at the stadium, a spokesman for ASM Global, the company that manages the stadium, told the Tribune Monday.

According to Chicago police, the men got into a verbal altercation around 6:10 p.m. at a sports venue in 1400 block of South Special Olympics Drive. Soldier Field’s address is 1410 S. Special Olympics Drive. The Bears game ended around 3:30 p.m.

Authorities said the man pulled out a knife and cut the victim’s left shoulder and face.

The victim was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in good condition, according to police. The alleged attacker was in custody and charges were pending, authorities said.
