    32-year-old man fatally wounded Wednesday morning on West Side

    A 32-year-old man was pronounced dead after being gunned down Wednesday morning on the West Side in the South Austin neighborhood, Chicago police said.

    Shortly before 9:30 a.m., the victim was sitting inside a vehicle in the 500 block of North Pine Avenue when a silver sedan, possible a Chevrolet Equinox, pulled up and multiple people inside opened fire at the victim.

    The man was taken in critical condition with multiple gunshot wounds throughout the body to Mount Sinai Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

    No one was in custody and detectives were investigating.
