    Chicopee fireworks rescheduled date announced

    CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – Chicopee’s annual Independence Day fireworks display was postponed on Saturday due to rain, but has been rescheduled.

    The City announced on Monday that the Chicopee Fireworks Celebration will be held on Friday, July 19 at Szot Park. In case of rain, the fireworks will be held on July 20th or 21st.

    “We are excited to bring this cherished tradition back to Chicopee,” said Ben Strepka, Superintendent of Chicopee Parks and Recreation. “We invite everyone to join us for an evening of patriotic spirit and community camaraderie.”

    Food vendors will be available with food and drinks for purchase. The fireworks show will begin at dusk.
