CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – Airports around the world are still in disarray after last week’s major outage.
CrowdStrike CEO called to testify to Congress over cybersecurity’s firm role in global tech outage Another eight flights are canceled and a few more are delayed at Bradley International Airport Tuesday morning. It’s the fourth consecutive day of affected air travel after Friday’s massive IT Outage.
According to Delta Airlines, they have canceled over 1,100 flights, as it struggles to recover. The airline has canceled about 690 flights and delayed about 420 on Monday alone.
This comes a day after Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg called out Delta for the lingering cancellations and delays. He warned that the airline must provide adequate assistance and refunds to its customers.
American Airlines has canceled three flights out of Bradley Tuesday morning, two to Washington and one to Philadelphia.
Delta is now offering travel waivers to all customers who were booked on flights between Friday and Tuesday, to allow them to change their flights once without any cost. Delta said they were offering meal vouchers, hotel accommodation, and transportation where available.
According to AP News, CrowdStrike says it has deployed a fix, but experts say it could take days or even weeks to repair every affected computer.
