CHILLICOTHE— From Adena Mansion to Zane's Trace Ross County is filled with a rich history. When looking at the ABCs of Ross County the Q stands for the Quinn Chapel A.M.E. Church.

Quinn Chapel Church is a Methodist Church in Chillicothe that was formed in 1821 after African American church members sought equal conditions to the white members of the local Methodist church. It was organized by the Rev. William Paul Quinn who later became Bishop.

According to the historical marker outside the church the Chillicothe congregation is the oldest A.M.E. church in Ohio. The congregation continues to this day worshiping together in various services.
