    Week 6 H.S. Football Roundup: Zane Trace wins third straight; Paint Valley stays unbeaten

    Week 6 of high school football is in the books after weather forced games to be played Saturday.

    Here's how teams fared:

    Saturday's results

    Waverly 41, Oak Hill 0: The Tigers scored 20 points in the first quarter and never looked back in their Southern Ohio Conference win over the Oaks.

    Waverly, which led 41-0 at halftime, piled up 372 total yards. Cade Carroll carried the ball seven times for 45 yards and scored four touchdowns on runs of 1, 2, 3 and 32 yards.

    Mason Kelly completed 9 of 17 passes for 212 yards and two touchdowns. He connected with Kody Swords on an 84-yard touchdown pass and hit Lane Baer on a 7-yarder.

    The Tigers improved to 5-1 overall.

    Paint Valley 37, Adena 0: The Bearcats cruised in their Scioto Valley Conference win over the Warriors (3-3, 1-2), and in the process, improved to 6-0 overall and 3-0 in the SVC.

    Unioto 21, Piketon 12: The Shermans (5-1, 3-0) continued their hot streak as they held off the Redstreaks (3-3, 1-2) in Scioto Valley Conference play. No other information was available.

    Zane Trace 42, Huntington 6: The Pioneers won their third consecutive game and dominated in their Scioto Valley Conference win over the Huntsmen (1-5, 0-3). Zane Trace improved to 3-3 overall and 3-0 in the SVC. Gunnar McCullough was 8-of-12 for 129 yards and two touchdowns. Silas Stewart had 13 carries for 81 yards and two touchdowns. Brice Johnson had six carries for 30 yards and one touchdown. Aaden Dunn had five catches for 106 yards and a touchdown. He also had a punt return for a touchdown and an interception. Landon Robinson also had two catches for 9 yards and a touchdown.

    On defense, Hudson Williams had 16 total tackles. Mason Hartley and Blake Brower had 13 tackles each.

    Westfall 11, Southeastern 8: The Mustangs (2-4, 1-2) won a defensive slugfest to pick up their second win of the season as they held off the Panthers (1-5, 0-3). No other information was avaialble.

    Washington Court House 28, Chillicothe 26: The Cavaliers fell short of picking up their first win of the season but fell just short against the visiting Blue Lions (1-5). No other information was available.
