Aces of Trades: Jade Berry is an entrepreneur who wants to help

CHILLICOTHE – She’s an entrepreneur who wants to create, consult – and help.

“As a child, I was always creative and a starter,” recalled Jade Berry. “I’ve loved to write, design, and develop new ways of doing things my whole life. I began as a designer and stylist right out of college. I never knew that I would start a consulting business. However, I was constantly helping others start new ideas and teaching others to create. I guess it was always in me.”

Today, Berry is CEO and lead consultant at Quiver Consulting LLC.

“At Quiver,” she explained, “I facilitate strategic planning sessions, do business evaluations, one-on-one business plan development, marketing, and business forecasting.”

“The business,” she added, “was started in April of this year out of the desire to be a support and sounding board for businesses of all sizes, helping organizations find their way forward through strategy and planning consultation. Focusing heavily on the culture and values of the business. Many businesses have no plan how to get from one place to the next. I wanted to be a part of helping them find their way. My goal is to assist people in building vision and planning execution.”

The name Quiver Consulting, by the way, came about, she said, because “a quiver is what holds the arrows before they are shot at a target. Our consulting firm carries this name because we equip organizations with what they need to hit their goals.”

Berry grew up in northern California, mostly the Oakland area. She graduated from Pinole Valley High School in 2000, then Brooks College of Design and Merchandising where she studied fashion design.

“My career path has always been entrepreneurial,” she said. “I have consistently been a freelance writer, author, and public speaker for the last 13 years. Before Quiver, I owned a retail clothing storefront in downtown Chillicothe, The Stack, for 3 years. It was a great way to get quickly infused into our beautiful city and gave me great insight into our needs collectively.”

Husband Marshall Berry watched the process.

“As Jade's husband,” he said, “I’m able to hear her heart and see her overwhelming willingness to bend over backwards to see other people succeed. I'll be honest, sometimes I get exhausted watching her work to figure out ways to make things function better. She has a keen eye for seeing things that many of us overlook. She desires to have all of those around her be successful and have an impact in the community we love so much. I absolutely adore her and couldn't have asked for a better woman to spend my life with.”

“I’ve always had a solution-based mind,” Berry responded. “It became a business idea once I took a look at how little help locally the small business owner had to help develop strategies and plans to grow.”

“I love helping people find their way forward by taking a look at where they are first,” she concluded. “We can always do more if we do it together! And when one wins, we all win!”

Quiver Consulting LLC is located at 45 E. Main Street in Chillicothe. For more information, call 740-207-2640 or log on www.quiverconsult.com.
