    Three Chilton offenders granted parole during May 14-16 hearings

    Parole hearings for four Chilton County offenders were held on May 14-16 by the Alabama Board of Pardons and Paroles with three being granted an early release.

    On May 14, two of the three Chilton offenders had their paroles hearings held. First, James Lanier Edwards was denied parole by the board with no reset date, and Edwards had no one speak in favor or against parole being granted.

    Edwards is currently serving a 48-month sentence for a Theft of Property I arrest in Chilton County on Jan. 25, as well as two concurrent 48-month sentences of Theft of Property II and Possession of a Controlled Substance. Edwards has currently served five months and three days of his sentence with jail credit and good time received included, and his minimum release date is June 22, 2025.

    Kristen Rene Holloway was granted parole by the board with special conditions to complete the Lovelady Center Program, wearing an ankle monitor and complete a mental health and drug assessment follow-up upon her release. Holloway was serving a 180-month sentence for an Obstruction of Justice-False Identity arrest on June 16, 2021. She also is serving concurrent sentences for a Possession of a Controlled Substance arrest in Elmore County on Nov. 21, 2022 of 18 months, and a Possession of a Controlled Substance arrest in Chilton County on June 8, 2023 of 36 months.

    At the time of her release, Holloway served three years, four months and seven days of her 180-month sentence with 2,505 days of good time received and 155 days of jail credit.

    On May 15, Justin Dock Cleckler was granted parole by the board with special conditions to wear an ankle monitor, NA/AA and complete a mental health and drug assessment follow-up upon his release. Cleckler’s mother, Lebra Cleckler, spoke in favor of parole being granted during his hearings.

    Cleckler was serving an 81-month sentence for a Theft of Property III arrest on July 27, 2023 in Chilton County with concurrent sentences of 48 months for a Possession of a Controlled Substance arrest on April 6, 2023 and 60 months for a Distribution of a Controlled Substance arrest on Dec. 8, 2022, both in Chilton County as well. He served one year, one month and 21 days of his 81-month sentence with 747 days of good time received and 118 days of jail credit.

    On May 16, Edward Lee Gore was granted parole by the board with special conditions to complete NA/AA and wear and ankle monitor, and no one spoke in favor or against parole being granted during Gore’s hearing. Gore was serving two, concurrent 60-month sentences for a Distribution of a Controlled Substance arrest on Nov. 8, 2023 in Chilton County. Gore had served nine months and nine days of his 60-month sentence with 201 days of good time received and 87 days of jail credit included.
