Mount Clemens, MI – The Macomb County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) is reporting a surge in dangerous car surfing incidents, linked to a viral social media challenge. This reckless activity involves individuals riding on the exterior of moving vehicles, posing severe injury risks. Recently, MCSO responded to three such incidents involving juveniles in New Haven, Shelby Township, and Romeo. The injured parties were hospitalized, and drivers face serious charges. Sheriff Anthony Wickersham urges the community to recognize the extreme dangers and legal repercussions associated with car surfing.

Chesterfield Township police spent much of Monday searching the community as they look for a missing juvenile who may be suicidal. Investigators say Christopher Nanovski, 15, last seen in the area of 23 Mile Road and DW Seaton Drive. The teen was described as being “out of control,” according to a 911 caller.
