SAULT STE. MARIE — This August, Chippewa County voters will decide whether or not to support continued funding for community senior services. The Chippewa Luce Mackinac Community Action Agency supports dozens of programs and services throughout the eastern Upper Peninsula. Even though half of the funding for their services comes from federal or state sources, they still heavily rely on millage funding.

Chippewa County man charged with possession of child sexually abusive activity
SAULT STE. MARIE, MI— A Sault Ste. Marie man has been arrested on charges connected to child pornography. The Michigan State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force says Jacob Dumas, 21, was arrested for aggravated child sexually abusive activity, possession of child sexually abusive material, and using a computer to commit a crime.
