Colchester traffic report: what to know about the roads this week
According to the Chittenden County Regional Planning Commission, Blakely Road will be closed to thru traffic from Colchester High School to Lavigne Road from approximately 9:45-11:15 a.m. for the parade on Thursday, July 4. Minor delays will occur on Lakeshore Drive, Blakely Road, Williams Road and Malletts Bay Avenue. Traffic control will be present. Motorists should be aware of a 5K race on Middle Road beginning at 8:15 a.m. and reduce speed when driving by the runners. For the fireworks display in the evening, expect some traffic delays on Blakely Road, Malletts Bay Avenue and Lakeshore Drive between 9-11 p.m.
