COLCHESTER, Vt. (WCAX) - Local law enforcement agencies are cracking down on dangerous driving on some notorious roads in Vermont. They’re focusing on areas like Route 105 from St. Albans to Richford, the Chimney Corners area of Milton and Colchester, and the stretch of Route 2 connecting Interstate 89 to the islands-- places where police have made efforts to curb the number of fatal crashes over the years.

Crews fight fire at home in Underhill, Vermont
UNDERHILL, Vt. — Multiple crews battled a fire at a home in Chittenden County on Thursday evening. At approximately 5:40 p.m. on June 20, the Underhill Jericho Fire Department responded to a report of "alarming" levels of smoke in the basement of a home on Cloverdale Road. They requested assistance from the Vermont Air National Guard Fire Department and Essex Rescue, according to a press release.
