    Earth day is celebrated every year on April 22nd with the goal of helping to protect the earth. Whether you are recycling, educating the community, gardening or going meatless; these activities all contribute to protecting the environment. Below are 4 eateries and clean up activities in the Washington, DC area that you can participate in this week.

    BEN'S CHILI BOWL

    ANACOSTIA WATERSHED SOCIETY EARTH DAY CLEANUP

    On Saturday, April 24th, volunteers are welcome to visit the watershed to help cleanup across different sites around the Anacostia watershed. Be sure to click here for more information and to register in advance at your site of choice.

    CLEANUP JOINT BASE ANACOSTIA-BOLLING AND POTOMAC WATERFRONT

    Volunteers are needed to cleanup joint Base Anacostia-Bolling & Potomac Waterfront. Please RSVP in advance here if you would like to participate. The cleanup will occur on Apr 24, 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM beginning at Slip Inn Bar & Grill at 2842 Arnold Ave SW, Washington, DC 20032.
