Turning Natural is a Black owned juice bar but more importantly they state they are “a health movement.” Annette Turner, the late mother of the current owner Jerri Evans, started Turning Natural after being diagnosed with Stage II Breast Cancer. Following her passing in 2010, her daughter Jerri now continues to uplift the importance of healthy living through Turning Natural.

Not only do they offer a wide array of amazing juices and smoothies, but they also offer vegan food such as black bean burgers or spinach patties. We ordered the Happy Hemp & Nipsey Blue smoothies and are looking forward to trying their foods! Turning Natural has locations throughout various DC neighborhoods—Capitol Hill, Shaw and Anacostia.
