Crimewatch: Edenton police make drug arrests

Edenton Police

Lecia Imani Mitchell, 30, of the 100 block of Madison Lane, Windsor, was arrested July 4 and charged with felony possession of cocaine, possession of up to half an ounce of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. No bond was set.

Camilo Gutierrez Nicolas, 24, of the 300 block of Apple Lane, Edenton, was arrested June 25 and charged with failure to appear in court as required. A $260 bond was set.

Nakieva Varsha Stanley, 36, of the 100 block of Jackson St., Edenton, was arrested and charged with failure to appear in court as required. A secured $10,000 bond was set.

Anthony Jerome Sawyer, 51, of the 100 block of Sandy Ridge Road, Edenton, was arrested June 28 and charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine, possession with intent to distribute a schedule II controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. A secured bond of $20,000 was set.

Lucino Perez, 56, of the 200 block of Willow Drive, Edenton, arrested July 3 and charged with failure to appear in court as required. A secured $1,000 bond was set.

Michael Earnest Overton Jr., 48, of the 500 block of Rockfish St., Edenton, was arrested July 6 and charged with failure to appear in court as required. A $1,000 secured bond was set.

Maurice Armstead, 41, of the 400 block of Center Hill Road, Tyner, was arrested July 7 and served indictments for felony selling cocaine, possession with intent to distribute cocaine, and delivering cocaine. A secured $45,000 bond was set.
