Young and the Restless Spoilers: Chelsea's Surprise Pregnancy, Plot Twist Devastates Billy & Sally

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Adam is known for being his own worst enemy. When you think his current situation couldn't get any worse, it might. Adam's actor, Mark Grossman, recently spoke to She Knows Soaps about a possible development that "wouldn't be ideal" but could be the next big shock in this storyline!

After Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) and Adam's shocking confessions about cheating in Baltimore, both couples are at risk of losing their relationships. It's a mess of epic proportions!

Given how things unfolded, The Young and the Restless spoilers say that Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) might forgive Chelsea. He saw how guilty she felt, and she eventually came clean.

However, for Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope), there's little hope with Adam. He made things worse by gaslighting her and lying when asked directly if he'd slept with his ex. To top it off, he admitted love was involved with Chelsea. That's got to hurt.

Believe it or not, a possible twist could make things even worse for "Ally" and destroy any chance of a "Chelly" reunion. Yes, a full-blown disaster. What could it be? Chelsea finding out she's pregnant, of course.

Grossman commented on this potential twist: "If she turned out to be pregnant from their encounter, for lack of a better word, that would be interesting."

The Young and the Restless actor explained why it would be "interesting" rather than catastrophic, saying, "Adam always has this idea of building a happy family in the back of his mind. He'd want to try and put his family back together."

But wouldn't this just add to his current problems? Grossman sees it differently: "He'd welcome another child because so much of his character and issues stem from his broken family. He wants his own healthy family - whatever that means to him!"

Despite this, Grossman admitted that Chelsea's getting pregnant now wouldn't be ideal. He reflected, "Losing Ava had a huge impact on him, so while Chelsea's pregnancy wouldn't be perfect timing, he'd probably see it as positive. After all, he needs to catch up with Nick, right?"

If you're struggling to see how this mess could turn into a full-blown disaster, let's break it down.

Sally, who recently marked the first anniversary of losing her baby with Adam, would be heartbroken to learn that he and Chelsea were expecting.

As for Billy, even if he forgave Chelsea, he'd likely walk away if she was carrying his rival's child. It would probably be a deal-breaker.

This would leave Adam and Chelsea longing for their partners... or possibly turning to each other again. "Chadam" fans might see this as a silver lining.
