The Young and the Restless spoilers say that Heather had a law school friend who set up a job interview for her in town. Heather left for this supposed interview shortly before returning to the apartment. This could have been a cover-up.
What if her law school friend was actually helping her Portuguese ex arrange a surprise reunion?
Heather's ex was also a lawyer, so maybe it was his law school friend. Perhaps Heather was caught off guard by her former flame and had to firmly reject him. After Heather came home, her ex-boyfriend might have followed her.
She Knows Soaps reports that he could have entered while Sharon was unconscious – or he might even be the reason Sharon blacked out if she can't remember him hitting her.
From there, Heather's ex might have ended her life and walked out, leaving Sharon to face the consequences. In his mind, it would have been the perfect crime. The show has a history of introducing troublesome exes to spice up the plot.
We've seen Amanda Sinclair's (Mishael Morgan) abusive former partner, Ripley Turner (Christian Keyes), and Diane Jenkins-Abbott's (Susan Walters) threatening ex-flame, Jeremy Stark (James Hyde).
Heather's ex could be the next unexpected villain if he took her life and let Sharon believe she was at fault. The bottom line is that Sharon's memory lapse is highly suspicious, suggesting someone else might be the real culprit.
