Young and the Restless Spoilers: Chance Says Heather's Death Was No Accident, Sharon Sets Daniel Up

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Friday, October 4, tease that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) sees Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) at Society. Soaps Spoilers reports that Adam wants to talk to Sally, but she refuses. She has said everything she has to say to him.

Adam begs Sally to talk to him. Sally refuses. She's finally in a good place and doesn't want him to ruin her mood. Adam confesses that he cannot stop thinking about her. He still loves her. Sally tells him this is his doing, and she cannot let him back into her life.

    Summer's Shock Over Heather's Death

At GCAC, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) spots Chance Chancellor (Connor Floyd) and Summer Newman (Allison Lanier). The Young and the Restless spoilers say that Summer notices that her mom is her normal bubbly self. She asks her what is wrong. Phyllis informs her that she has terrible news to tell her.

Summer cannot believe that Heather is gone. Phyllis urges Summer to spend time with Daniel. Chance steps away to make a phone call. Summer exits when he returns. Chance tells Phyllis that this is going to be rough for the family. Daniel will be confused and hurt by the investigation based on the call he just had.

Chance informs Phyllis that there will be an autopsy. He warns her that it can be upsetting when the family learns about the trauma their deceased loved one went through. Phyllis swears she can handle it and hopes Daniel can. Chance says he will be there for Summer but questions if Phyllis has someone to lean on.

Phyllis says Nick is there for her. Chance thinks that's great, but if she needs someone, she can call him. Chance leaves to find out more information about Heather's case at the police station.

Sharon approaches Phyllis at the bar. She tells Phyllis she is sorry about Heather and cannot imagine the family's pain. Phyllis stops her. She doesn't want to hear it. Sharon reminds her of her last interaction with Heather at GCAC. Phyllis vows never to forget what Sharon said and will tell everyone in Genoa City.

    Lucy Wants Answers

At Chancellor Park, Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) offers her condolences to Daniel Romalotti, Jr. (Michael Grazadei) and Lucy Romalotti (Lily Brooks O'Briant). She asks Daniel if they know why Heather Stevens (Vail Bloom) is at the river.

Daniel stops Sharon's questioning. They aren't ready to talk about it. Lucy picks up on Sharon's line of questioning, demanding to know what Sharon knows.

"What do you mean, Sharon? Are you saying this may not have been an accident?" Lucy cries.

Lucy begs Sharon for information. She explains that her mom never came home last night, so if she knows anything about what actually happened to her, she should tell her. Daniel orders Lucy to go to the car. He needs to speak with Sharon alone.

She Knows Soaps reports that Daniel asks Sharon if she is insane. He lost the love of his life and had to devastate his daughter by telling her that her mom was dead.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say that Daniel wants Sharon to leave them alone and stop asking questions about how Heather died. They need to grieve their profound loss.

Chance Says Heather's Death Was No Accident

At Daniel's penthouse, Chance calls him. He wants to come to his place to give him information about Heather's case.

Summer arrives at Daniel's apartment. She comforts her brother, allowing him to cry and release his feelings. Chance arrives to tell Daniel the autopsy news.

"Everything we thought we knew about Heather's death is wrong," Chance says.

Chance reveals that Heather's cause of death was caused by blunt force trauma. Daniel's confused; he doesn't understand what Chance is saying. Summer assumes Heather hit her head and fell into the river. Chance wants them to let the police do their investigation, promising answers in time.

After Chance leaves, Daniel worries about telling Lucy about the newest development. Summer urges him to wait to say something until they know more. He remembers feeling like "the luckiest man in the world" when Heather agreed to reunite with him. Now, she is gone. Summer hugs him.

Summer runs into Chance at Chancellor Park. He reveals the police are going to launch a full-scale investigation. They should have answers soon. Chance admits that he wants to rejoin the GCPD. He has talked to the chief about reinstating him.

    Adam Confesses

At Crimson Lights, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) runs into Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan). Billy says he told his kids about their breakup, but they already knew because Connor Newman (Judah MacKey) told Johnny Abbott.

Chelsea tells Billy that Connor's treatment is going well and that she is doing well. Chelsea wonders if it will always be awkward between them. The Young and the Restless spoilers say that Billy hopes not; at least he has faith that it will improve.

Adam shows up and makes a few snarky comments about Billy. Chelsea asks him to stop. Billy asks Adam if he is going to hit him again. Chelsea cannot believe Adam hit him.

Before leaving, Billy tells Chelsea he hopes she can stop Adam from manipulating her time. He says that Adam uses Connor's condition to manipulate her time.

After Billy leaves, Chelsea looks at Adam and shakes her head. She was having a private conversation with Billy, and he had no right to interfere. Adam thinks it is ridiculous that Chelsea believes she still has a chance with Billy after their Baltimore slip-up.

Chelsea tells Adam to stop attacking Billy. She loves him and needs friendship, at least with him. He keeps her grounded. Adam dismisses that idea. He says she never loved him; she felt obligated to be with Billy.

She scoffs at that statement. She wants him to focus on Sally, get her forgiveness, and leave her alone. Adam admits that won't happen. Sally knows how much he loves her, and that sealed their fate.

    Phyllis Leans On Billy

Billy walks into Society and sees Sally at the bar. He orders a drink and asks her how she is doing. He confesses that he almost told Chelsea how much he cares about her, but Adam shows up and ruins the moment. Suddenly, he remembers the hurt and pain. He had to go to avoid conflict with Adam.

Billy and Sally give each other a pep talk, urging each other not to think of their exes. Billy asks Sally to come to Abbott Chancellor's launch party, which she gladly agrees to. Phyllis shows up and sees Billy and Sally talking.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say that Phyllis announces their business situation needs attention. Sally exits. Phyllis tells Billy she is going through something that could affect her work in the next few days. She blurts out, "Heather died."

Billy wraps his arms around her, telling her he is sorry for her loss. Phyllis says she needs someone to talk to and hopes he will be there for her. He agrees.

    Sharon Frames Daniel

Meanwhile, Sharon cleans tables on the Crimson Lights' patio. Cameron Lirsten (Linden Ashby) urges her to make the next move. She is trying to behave normally but doesn't want to do anything to raise suspicions. Cameron says she knows what she needs to do next.

Sharon takes the bloody blanket out of her car's trunk as Cameron tells her, "You know what to do."

The preview for next week shows Sharon stuffing the blanket in the liquor cabinet in Daniel's penthouse with the plan to frame him for Heather's murder.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Chance won't rest until he gets answers about Heather's death. This could lead him to Sharon for questioning.

Now how stupid are the writers? Daniel wouldn't leave evidence in a cabinet in his own apartment! No one would!

I hope that Chance is really the good cop that he supposedly is and investigates thoroughly. He doesn't take the obvious set up. Sharon is an obvious suspect as her behavior prior was awful and publicly displayed to Daniel and family. The first things cops do is to develop a timeline up to the murder and review public video security cameras. Hopefully, they will review cameras in and around Daniel's apartment building. I really don't want Daniel to be the main suspect and drag it on. He had no motive and it is cruel. Sharon's terror needs to stop and fast.
