Bold and the Beautiful: Heather Tom Joins B&B Writing Team, 'I've Worked On Three Scripts So Far'

Six-time Daytime Emmy winner Heather Tom is adding another impressive skill to her already extensive resume. The talented actress, known for her role as Katie Logan on The Bold and the Beautiful, has revealed she's now writing for the popular CBS soap opera.

During a live YouTube chat on the Michael Fairman Channel, Tom surprised viewers and her co-star Don Diamont (Bill Spencer) with the news.

The revelation came after a fan praised her directing skills, particularly highlighting an episode where Deacon (Sean Kanan) noticed "Sheila" (Kimberlin Brown) had ten toes instead of nine in the crematorium scene.

"I'm directing more episodes. I'm actually also writing for the show now. I just finished my third script," Tom shares. "It's a recent development."

This move puts her in the company of fellow B&B co-star Lawrence Saint-Victor (Carter Walton), who also writes for the series. Brad Bell continues to serve as the show's head writer and executive producer.

Michael Fairman TV reports that Diamont was initially taken aback by the news but quickly expressed his admiration for Tom's multifaceted talents.

"It's no surprise that she's a sensational director. Heather will excel at writing just as she does in acting and directing. Her creative abilities are off the charts," Diamont explains. "She's incredibly gifted and committed - everything matters to her. Working with this wonderfully talented woman and amazing person has been the best part of my career. I can't say enough good things about her."

Tom's transition into writing marks another milestone in her career, which already includes acclaimed performances and directing credits. Her new behind-the-scenes role promises to bring fresh perspectives to the long-running daytime drama.

The Bold and the Beautiful viewers eagerly anticipate how Tom's writing will influence the show's storylines, especially if it might lead to a reunion for Katie and Bill or if she will go the opposite direction and put Bill with Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang).
