Young and the Restless Spoilers: Daniel Says No To Chance's Search, Nikki Tells Lily The Truth

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Friday, October 11, tease that Devon Winters (Bryton James) chats with Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) about Chancellor. He urges his sister not to trust Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). He firmly believes Victor won't spend money on a company as large as Chancellor and just hand it over to Lily.

Frustrated by Devon's warning, Lily asks her brother who he thinks Victor will put in charge. Soaps Spoilers reports that Devon doesn't know, but if he had to guess, he would assume it would be "someone with the last name Newman."

Lily believes that Victor wouldn't betray her. She is Neil Winters' (Kristoff St John) daughter, one of Victor's closest friends. Not only that, but she has proven herself a businesswoman. Devon understands and agrees that all of that is true, but Victor has a habit of using people and then tossing them aside.

Devon Pushes Lily To Find Answers

Lily cannot imagine what Newman Victor could put to head the Chancellor. Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) work at Newman Enterprises, and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) is the head of Newman Media. So, who is left? Devon says, "Nikki."

The Young and the Restless spoilers say that Devon shares that he saw Victor and Nikki at Society last night. Nikki shares that Victor got her a "Priceless gift." Devon believes that that gift is Chancellor. Lily shakes her head, refusing to believe that.

Devon says it makes perfect sense. Katherine Chancellor (Jeanne Cooper) was Nikki's best friend and mentor. She would want to run Katherine's company. It starts to make sense to Lily. She wonders what role she would play if and when Victor gets control of Chancellor.

Lily leaves to confront Victor just as Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) arrives. Devon asks him about his trip. He says he can fill him in later. He wants to know why Lily looked upset. Devon shares that he filled her in on Victor's plan; this time, he thinks she believes him. He suspects she bolted to Victor's office to confront him.

Devon and Nate talk about Victor and his motives. Devon cannot shake the feeling that Victor is using his connection to their dad to soften Lily to work with him. It doesn't really matter why he is doing it; when it all comes crashing down, Lily will be crushed that Victor lied to her.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Nate and Devon are concerned about Lily. If Victor uses her to get control of Chancellor without plans to give her the CEO role, that will be a problem.

"If he is using Lily to get Chancellor, that will mean I will have a big problem with my new father-in-law," Devon says.

Devon asks about Nate's trip. He shares that Amy Lewis contacted him about his dad, Nathan Hastings. She briefly dated his dad and had some of his belongings. He flew out to pick up the stuff, but Nate thinks she may have been warming him up for something else.

Nikki & Victor Talk About Chancellor

At Newman Enterprises, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) brings Victor breakfast. He looks at his food and says he is a lucky man. Nikki admits that she is feeling restless. She clarifies that she doesn't have the urge to drink but wants to get back to work.

Victor promises the Chancellor acquisition will happen "soon." Nikki knows that is what he thinks, but she needs to keep busy. Victor says Lily plans to oust Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) quickly. Nikki raises her eyebrows when Victor mentions Lily's name.

Y&R spoilers say that Nikki feels blessed to have a husband who believes in her. She won't forget it. Victor hopes she doesn't because she saw Jack and Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) fighting, and it reminded him of how lucky he is.

He hopes Jack gets everything he deserves. Nikki stops Victor from trashing Jack. "Victor, I don't think we will ever agree on Jack."

Chance Asks If Heather Had A Lover

At Daniel Romalotti, Jr (Michael Grazaidei) apartment, Chance Chancellor (Connor Floyd) updates him about his chat with Sharon Newman (Sharon Case). She Knows Soaps reports that Chance reveals Sharon admits she was at the apartment the night Heather Stevens (Vail Bloom) disappeared.

Daniel seems shocked at that news. He asks why Sharon stopped by his apartment. Chance says that Sharon wanted to apologize for her behavior, and that's when Heather told her about their fight.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say that Chance asks Daniel if they had a fight and, if so, what it was about. Daniel appears to realize that Chance may think he has something to do with Heather's death.

Daniel explains that they have had a tough time lately. They lost their jobs, Lucy Romalotti's (Lily Brooks O'Briant) attitude changed, and then the accident greatly impacted their lives.

After the accident, Sharon was on a warpath to run them out of town. He doesn't believe that Heather would tell Sharon anything personal. Chance speculates that Sharon could have dropped by to apologize and noticed Heather was upset. She could have asked if she was okay. Daniel accepts that scenario.

Daniel Refuses Chance's Search Request

Chance asks Daniel if it is possible that the fight he had with Heather had nothing to do with why she was upset. What if she was covering up the real reason she was distraught?

Daniel says none of this makes sense to him. Heather wasn't the type to run away. They talked about their issues. Chance asks if there is anything they may not have talked about. Chance asks, "Is it possible Heather was seeing someone else?"

After Daniel denies that possibility, Chance asks Daniel to think about what they know. Heather went to the river alone, where no one would recognize her. She sent a vague text message to give herself a few days alone. Someone had her phone, and they knew her well enough to know her password.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Daniel tells Chance he has no answers. He is the detective, and it's his job to figure it out. Chance is trying, but the puzzle pieces don't fit.

Y&R spoilers say that Daniel refuses to believe Heather was having an affair. She loved their life and wouldn't risk it all with an affair. Chance understands but needs to get confirmation before moving the investigation.

Daniel doesn't understand how they can get confirmation. Chance thinks they might have missed something in the house. He wants to search the apartment to see if he can find any clues. Daniel refuses.

He says first, he claims Heather may have had a lover, and now he wants to search her belongings. Y&R spoilers say Daniel tells Chance he knows his way out. Daniel leaves the room.

Jack Give Claire A History Lesson

At the Abbott estate, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) chat about Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor). Jack asks Claire if she has noticed any reckless behavior from Kyle. She confirms she has.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say that Claire explained she met with Kyle at Crimson Lights a few days earlier, and he was pumped up. He explained that he did something to get Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) fired.

She tells Jack that she doesn't care about Audra's firing exactly, but Kyle's cold and demeaning attitude triggers her. It reminded her of her Aunt Jordan (Colleen Zenk). Jack understands, pointing out that Kyle is acting like her grandfather, Victor Newman.

Jack gives Claire a history lesson about his rivalry with Victor. He shares that Victor is the Glissade investor and Kyle's boss. He is confident Victor hired Kyle to hurt him, and it worked.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say that Jack explains that Victor is a fighter. He sells himself as one in the business world and his personal life. He adds there is no such thing as a fair fight with Victor.

Jack says he is leading his son down a dark path he may never escape. Claire seems surprised by his description of her grandfather.

She has never seen this side of him. Jack says that is because she is part of his family. He will protect her; that is what he has in common with Victor.

Jack says that if Victor has a problem with him, he should come after him directly. There's no reason to involve Kyle. He just wants to free Kyle from Victor's grasp. Claire understands. She wants to know what she can do to help.

Lily Learns The Truth

At Newman Enterprises, Lily shows up to see Victor. She tells Victor she has "some serious problems with their partnership." She added that she had come by the office to find a resolution.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say that Lily presses Victor to give her a job offer in writing. He refuses. He says he is a man of his word. Lily asks if he plans to put someone else as CEO of Chancellor. He asks who he would put in charge if not her. She replies, "Nikki!"

Victor doesn't answer her question but rebuffs by saying they don't have control of Chancellor, so it is useless to discuss this matter. Lily tells him they have nothing to discuss if he cannot give her an offer in writing or answer her questions.

Lily leaves Victor's office and finds Nikki at GCAC. She tells Nikki he needs to ask her a question. She has a hunch something is off, and she wants Nikki to confirm it. Nikki tells her she can ask her anything.

Nikki tells Lily that she has so much respect for her, both personally and professionally. Lily says she feels the same and thanks her for giving her the letter from Katherine.

Lily says she needs to know the truth. She wonders if they (Nikki and Victor) are playing her, and the plan is to give Nikki the CEO role at Chancellor.

Nikki confirms the plan is to put her as CEO. The Young and the Restless spoilers say that Nikki tries to apologize, adding that she wants Lily to be part of her team at Chancellor. Lily refuses. She says she is done with both of them and walks away.
