Young and the Restless Spoilers: Phyllis Accuses Sharon Of Framing Daniel, Nick Defends His Ex-Wife

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Wednesday, October 23, tease that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) remains determined to prove Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) is responsible for Heather Stevens' (Vail Bloom) death.

Soaps Spoilers reports Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) runs into Phyllis at Society. He notices she hasn't finished her meal and assumes she is upset about something.

As she tries to leave, he convinces her to explain. She reveals Daniel Romalotti, Jr (Michael Grazaedei) and Lucy Romalotti's (Lily Brooks O'Briant) nightmare, unable to grieve as her son faces false accusations.

Nick asks for details. She explains they're banned from their home. Phyllis claims someone wants to ruin her family. She mentions planted evidence found by police and suggests Nick ask Sharon about it.

Confused, he listens as she warns him not to be fooled by Sharon's capabilities. She urges him to confront Sharon and look into her eyes.

Nick refuses. Phyllis explodes when he defends Sharon's state of mind, saying she doesn't care about Sharon's feelings. She accuses Sharon of killing Heather.

She Knows Soaps reports that Nick doesn't believe it, so Phyllis explains that Sharon is trying to save herself by framing Daniel. She points out Sharon's undisclosed visit to Heather on the night of her death. Phyllis admits she wants to confront Sharon, but Daniel advises against it.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say that Nick insists Sharon doesn't need Phyllis bothering her. This infuriates Phyllis. As he continues doubting her claims, she challenges him to name another suspect besides Sharon or her son.

Determined to help, she refuses to sit idle. He keeps defending Sharon and tells Phyllis to back off.

    Chance Meets With Phyllis

Chance Chancellor (Connor Floyd) and a forensics team arrive at Daniel's place. He directs them to search for more blood, noting the sloppy planting of evidence. They find signs of a bludgeoning and body dragging.

He searches for the murder weapon and discovers a bloody paperweight. As they bag it, Phyllis calls requesting a meeting.

Y&R spoilers say that Chance meets Phyllis at Crimson Lights. She immediately declares her son's innocence and asks about the search.

He reminds her they can't discuss this. She reveals that Sharon was the last to see Heather alive and that she had kept it a secret. She's certain further investigation will prove Sharon is the killer.

Chance dismisses Sharon's guilt. Phyllis reminds him of their past relationship, and he points out her complicated history with Sharon. Chance understands Phyllis's determination.

They argue about their prejudices, and he maintains it's not personal. He receives a call about the evidence. Phyllis pleads for information, but he leaves without explaining.

    Daniel Confronts Sharon

Daniel unexpectedly visits Sharon and questions her conversation with Heather on the night she died. Sharon explains that she went to apologize, and Daniel expresses surprise at Heather's reaction.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say that Sharon mentions Heather's graciousness in accepting her apology. She adds that Heather seemed upset, mentioning a terrible fight with Daniel.

When Sharon refers to his last interaction with Heather as a terrible fight, Daniel corrects her. Sharon claims Heather was afraid of him.

Daniel refuses to believe this. He's convinced she's lying and urges her to tell the police. Sharon dislikes his tone. He explains he's fighting for his life, as the police suspect him, and her false story to the cops didn't help.

Sharon says she doesn't think he'd harm Heather. He asks if she did. She admits to lashing out, which prompted her apology to Heather. He's certain events unfolded differently than she claims.

When she asks about police evidence, he avoids the topic. He expresses his struggle with Heather's death and Lucy's distress. He can't be imprisoned when Lucy needs him and he needs answers.

Sharon advises him to focus on healing and finding peace. She suggests he's acting desperately and irrationally. She insists he must know her alleged actions are impossible. She describes the difficulty of grief and encourages him to rely on friends and family. Daniel decides to leave and exits.

    Sharon Reaches Her Boiling Point

Cameron urges Sharon to stay calm. He warns that losing control now would be irreversible. He advises against second-guessing herself. He says she's done enough to implicate Daniel and must remain composed.

As she attempts to start a fire, she remembers disposing of Heather's body. Nick appears, offering help. He assures her they can face the situation together and come out stronger.

He promises safety and support. Cameron warns her not to confide in the caring Nick. She tells him to leave, but he reminds her it would be foolish to cut ties with him now.

Sharon protests, "I'm a good person!" She's tired of this situation.

He claims she's fragile and love-struck. Without his oversight, she'd spill everything and be finished.

While the imaginary Nick might understand, the real one probably won't. He'll likely flee.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say that Cameron insists he's her only savior. Nick would immediately contact the authorities.

She contemplates taking a risk and setting things right. When Nick offers to listen, she agrees to talk. The real Nick appears. "I can't handle this anymore!" she sobs.

    Daniel's Talk With Danny

Daniel arrives at the GCAC and receives a call from his father. They discuss the service, with Daniel unsure of its timing. Everything's chaotic, and he could use his father's help.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say that Danny plans to cancel his tour and fly back, but his son discourages this idea. Daniel worries about Lucy's state and wants to shield her from what's coming. He suggests sending her on tour with Danny.

He reveals evidence suggesting Heather's death wasn't accidental. The police already have a suspect. When he asks his father to persuade Christine to return, Danny guesses his son is the suspect.

It all seems unbelievable. Danny assures him he won't be arrested. His son explains the most challenging part is hearing his daughter cry nightly. He longs to comfort her, but it seems impossible.

His father wants to come home, but Daniel insists Lucy needs to leave. He fears the killer might still target his family.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say that Phyllis promises to get to the bottom of Heather's murder, even if that means Sharon will pay for the crime.
