James Jeffrey “Jeff” Hawks, 56, of Owensboro passed away Thursday, July 18, 2024, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. The St. Petersburg, Florida native was born August 24, 1967, to the late James Mills Hawks Jr. and Sharon Waugh Hawks. Jeff received his degree in Culinary Arts from Johnson Wales University and was a chef for many years at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Jeff has also been very devoted to the Episcopal Church and had served as an altar boy since he was eight years old. He later served the congregation at Trinity Episcopal Church as the Verger. He was fun to be around and, having a good memory, was able to tell many stories of his childhood growing up.
