• Everyone is talking about this impressive comeback and gold-winning performance from University of South Carolina alum Quincy Hall in the men’s 400-meter final.
• Rojé Stona , a Clemson alum, also won gold in the men’s discus and set an Olympic record with his winning throw of 70 meters. Stona is representing Jamaica.

• SC’s A’ja Wilson and the USA women’s basketball team defeated Nigeria 88-78 to move to the semi-finals today, Aug. 9, at 11:30 a.m. they’ll play Australia.
• Charleston’s Raven Saunders qualified for the finals after competing in the women’s shot put. Saunders will compete for Team USA today, Aug. 9 , at 1:37 p.m.
• Charleston native Jasmine Camacho-Quinn, who represents Puerto Rico, qualified for the semi-finals for the women’s 100-meter hurdles, which will take place today at 6:05 a.m. ET. The finals are tomorrow, Aug. 10, at 1:35 p.m.
