This is another decision made due to the failed renewal of a $4.1 million supplemental levy in the May 21 primary election. BOISE, Idaho — A skate park project that memorializes the memory of two New Meadows residents has received a large donation, minimizing the gap to its $600,000 goal. Brundage Mountain officials on Tuesday said General Manager Ken Rider donated a check for $10,000 to the Mehen Memorial Skatepark during the mountain's July 19 summer concert series. The community project honors the owners of the Hartland Inn in New Meadows, Rory and Sara Mehen, who were killed in October 2022.

BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — Water levels at Lucky Peak Lake are dropping, so that a 70-year-old boat ramp can get some needed TLC. Craig Quintana, the Public Information Officer at the Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation, explained that Turner Gulch boat ramp isn't safe. He said, "We didn't have much say in the matter, the Corp needs to do this project, the ramp has become a hazard. It desperately needs the repairs."

CBS2 Boise — A weak front will move in Wednesday afternoon. The Storm Prediction Center believes we'll see a marginal risk of severe weather as the front moves in. At minimum we'll see scattered thunderstorms. At worst, some of the storms will have the potential to be severe in nature. That means we could see gusty winds in excess of 55 mph in parts of the Treasure Valley. There is also a risk of flash flooding in some of the burn scars from recent fires in Harney and Baker County in Oregon. The scattered thunderstorms Wednesday afternoon should help to clear out the smoke just a bit.
