Yankees worst loss of the season at the hands of the White Sox 12-2

Chicago, IL (New York Yankees App) - The Yankees played their worst game of the year as the White Sox pounded the Bombers 12-2 in Chicago. The 2024 Chicago White Sox have not only made the case as the worst team in Major League Baseball, but in MLB history.

The Yankees loaded the bases twice in the first three innings, netting two fly outs (neither of the sacrifice variety), a strikeout, and no runs scored. The Yankees actually took the lead early on spotting Luis Gil a run, when Aaron Judge hit an RBI double to open up the scoring. The Yankees put runners on every single inning of the game, but went 2-for-18 with runners in scoring position.

The Yankees will look to re group once again as Nestor Cortes gets the ball Tuesday night at 8:10 pm in Chicago.
