REIGNING WORLD CHAMPS DOMINATE CHEYENNE FRONTIER DAYS QUARTERFINALS 4
CHEYENNE, Wyo., July 22, 2024 — The 128th Cheyenne Frontier Days Rodeo could be life-changing for Kansas cowgirl Chelsea Moore. Riding her five-year-old gelding, The Kandyman, that she calls Jackson, Moore stopped the clock in 17.07 seconds to win Quarterfinals 4 of the rodeo and advance to the Semi Finals. Prior to Cheyenne’s rodeo, the mom of two was ranked 40th in the Women’s Professional Rodeo Association world standings.

2024 Rendezvous Balloon Rally Flew Two of Three Days
The 44th Annual Riverton Rendezvous Balloon Rally flew on Friday and Saturday, but Sunday's launch was scrubbed due to wind. Twenty balloons from around the globe, 17 from the USA, two from Canada and one from Belgium made up the field this year. Specialty balloons included Baby T-Rex from Vernal, Utah; Humpty Dumpty from Louisville, KY and the celebrity speaker Peter Van Overwalle's Princess Nelly from Nazareth, Belgium. It was the huge pink elephant shape.

A Casper Firefighters Facebook post around 5:30 p.m. said that the Natrona County Fire District, Evansville Fire-EMS and Bureau of Land Management are engaging resources, including a helicopter.
Family Planning Receives Grant for New Equipment
ROCK SPRINGS – Western Wyoming Family Planning is the recipient of a grant that will help it purchase new equipment. The United Way of Southwest Wyoming recently awarded the organization a $7,275 grant to purchase a new exam bed, exam light, a colposcope, and an Autoclave. Alex Roberson, the director of Western Wyoming Family Planning, said the new equipment not only upgrades what they already have but also helps improve the services they offer. The light in particular is a needed upgrade because Roberson said the clinical provider often uses her chin to readjust it while conducting an exam.
