UW Planetarium Renovations Scheduled Aug. 5-14
The University of Wyoming Harry C. Vaughan Planetarium will undergo renovations and technical upgrades early next month. The planetarium will be closed Aug. 5-14 so that the facility’s two bulb-based projectors can be replaced with new laser projectors. In fall 2023, the planetarium began the procurement process to replace its projectors with a brand-new system. The successful search was completed in May.
Casper man dies in Saturday wreck; GoFundMe started for family
CASPER, Wyo. — Casper resident Cole Allen Paulsen died Saturday in a car-on-motorcycle crash, and a fundraiser has been established to help his family. The Grand Valley is almost always the hottest part of Colorado’s Western Slope. We’ll be nearing 100 degrees in the Grand Valley on Tuesday. Some of our backyard thermometers may touch the century mark, but most of us will stay just shy. Wednesday is a different story.
