Main St. The fee to participate is $10. Join as freelance Tri-City Record photographer and wildlife photographer Brad Ryan shares techniques and strategies for capturing photos of wildlife. Take notes on how to capture a variety of wildlife with your camera. No camera is necessary, and photos will not be taken at this Q&A workshop. This event is contingent on participation numbers. Taylor-Mesilla site welcomes new conservator
New Mexico Historic Sites announced the arrival of Yasmine Jahangiri as the new museum technician and conservator of the Taylor-Mesilla and Fort Selden historic sites. Yahangiri is responsible for the collections at both sites, including recordkeeping and documentation for all of their items. She will also assist with interpretive programs and developing exhibitions, the agency stated in a news release.
Kind Bread Company to close this month
Kind Bread Company, a four-year-old bakery off S. Solano Drive, recently announced it would close July 27. Owner and baker Samantha Kindred delivered the news in a video posted to Instagram on July 5. In the video, Kindred said that medical issues will prevent her from being able to focus on the bakery.

Pool play games in Connie Mack World Series begin Friday
FARMINGTON – The Frackers will open pool play in the Connie Mack World Series on Friday, July 26 at 5:30 p.m. at Worley Field against a team still to be determined. The pool play brackets were announced and released this week by the American Amateur Baseball Congress. The Frackers, the host team for the CMWS, were entered into Pool B, along with the Dallas-based D-Bat United. All 12 teams will play three games over the course of Friday, July 26 and Saturday, July 27 with games at Worley Field, the Farmington Sports Complex and at Ricketts Park.
Moving Arts Looking for New Home
Moving Arts Española needs a new space. “We’ve known for some time that, one day, the lease would be up,” Co-founder and Creative Director Roger Montoya said. The lease on the organization’s current location on the Ohkay Owingeh Pueblo came up for renewal in 2024. According to Montoya, the Tsay Corporation has deemed the building unsafe and too old to inhabit.

Coming to Jal with 35 years of experience as a coach, Satterwhite spent the last four years as head coach and athletic director for Tatum. Sheriff: Armed Mancos man shot dead after refusing deputies’ commands
A Mancos resident was fatally shot by Montezuma County deputies on Thursday after he refused repeated commands to drop the weapon, said Sheriff Steven Nowlin.
