FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) — Nextdoor identified Fort Wayne as a top 10 U.S. city most likely to post lost pets on the platform. Cities on the list, in order, include Evansville; Sioux Falls, S.D.; Anchorage, Ala.; Corpus Christi, Texas; Harlingen, Texas; Fort Wayne; Laredo, Texas; Omaha, Neb.; Lincoln, Neb. and Duluth, Wis.

Community comes together to raise funds for injured animal at Black Pine Animal Sanctuary
ALBION, Ind. (WPTA) - A Facebook post raised over $7,000 for an injured Bobcat at Black Pine Animal Sanctuary. The animal sanctuary is the only sanctuary accredited by the Global Federation of Animal Sanctuaries. Animals here are provided refuge after being rescued from unsafe environments and spend the rest of their lives in peace.

FWACC to hold 4th of July cat adoption sale

Black Pine seeks public support to help bobcat get MRI
ALBION, Ind. (ADAMS) – Representatives with Black Pine Sanctuary are putting out an urgent plea for help in the medical care of one of the residents. An MRI for a wild animal can cost thousands of dollars. It is however something they say their bobcat, Evaki, needs. She came to the sanctuary in 2019 after already suffering from medical issues in her legs. After the problem seemed to come back a specialist said she needed the MRI.
